Doctor Blade

Carbon steel doctor blade is our basic, but very commonly used, type of carbon steel used at printing houses worldwide. The base steel material is made from genuine high quality Swedish steel. Together with our Swedish raw material supplier and end users, the doctor blade was produced to improve production quality, blade lifespan and to increase machine speeds. This thanks to the increased amount of carbides/µm² in the steel microstructure, compared to cheap and low quality carbon steel.

900 Nano has been developed together with partners in Nano technology, to treat and produce different steel qualities optimizing the properties and performance.

The microstructure of the 900 steel consists of finely distributed, small carbides, giving it an exceptional wear resistance, reduced friction and higher printing performance.

900 Nano I is produced by using the latest Nano technology, with the idea of not using the ceramic & nickel coatings that are used today; resulting in none of the side effects these coatings can have on environment, brittleness and other issues.

It´s a revolutionary patented metallurgic-treated steel blade which will extend blade life to hitherto unseen levels in non-ceramic coated blades in both flexo and gravure applications. The blade will outlast any non-ceramic blade on the market, without any of the brittleness associated with long life blades, with no extra consequent anilox roll/gravure cylinder wear and at a competitive price.

Today many of the flexible printers are looking for solutions that will improve the financial bottom line by; increasing productivity, printing quality and reducing the downtime due to the lack of blade longevity. Nano will be a part of that solution. Additional products will follow shortly, developed especially for white inks wear problems and for printers that want to increase the life time even further.
